Doctor and knitter extraordinaire.
Recently moved back to Virginia after finishing my residency in West Virginia. I start my “real” job in a few days… WHAT? 12 years of training are finally done. So. Weird. I will be a PCP and I plan on tormenting… I mean teaching medical students.
I am a Hokie – GO VIRGINIA TECH!!. I enjoy yelling at the TV during football season. I apparently missed my calling in life as a sports commentator.
I lived in Florida until I was 22. I doubt I’ll ever live there again. It’s very hot and I enjoy knitting with wool and wearing it to move back any time soon. My parents affectionately call Connecticut the Arctic Tundra. They are more likely to visit me in WV just not during the winter.
I have two giant whorebag cats named Salem and Franklin. Franklin aka Crazy kitten is always into something. Climbing doors – check, sitting on top of the refrigerator – check. Salem is a big ball of fluff. He is all about the belly rubs and does not know how to breathe without purring.
I have been on several mission trips Kenya (x2), Honduras, Puerto Rico, Costa Rica, and most recently Haiti (post earthquake). I have a strange affinity to orphan African children even though I don’t really like kids.
I was recently diagnosed with narcolepsy. Apparently I was more than tired. Still trying to sort that all out.
I love medicine, yarn, chocolate, and wine. Not always in that order.
I’ve been told I may be the nerdiest/strangest person anyone has ever met and I am OK with this. 🙂
